When the water temperatures rise to over 42 degrees Fahrenheit, fish then ascend the Poolie Falls at Sluie, just downriver from Logie and Relugas. Therefore it is most often from early May onwards that the fish will run quickly upstream moving into the Logie and Relugas beats.
The fishing is split into two beats which can be booked together or separately.
All beats have a variety of pools with some suitable for most heights of water. Little wading is necessary and there is vehicle access to within about half a mile of all pools. River paths are good however the fishing is within the Findhorn gorge and access to some of the pools is quite steep.
All fishing is from the right bank and is fly only. By arrangement with the neighbouring estate there is no left bank fishing on the Relugas Middle and Top beats.
Fish caught in April, May and early June are predominately salmon, the grilse normally start to run in late May and thereafter a mixture of salmon and grilse are caught. Very few sea trout are caught.
