Dunoon & District Angling Club has access to four rivers, fishing for Atlantic salmon, sea trout & wild brown trout. The DDAC club also has access to four lochs, with wild brown trout & rainbow trout for members only. The four salmon rivers include the Ruel, The Cur, The Finart, and The Massan. These rivers all fish well after a spate and the best fishing can be found from August until the the end of the season. Enquiries for memberships can be found at the club website. The Dalbeattie Angling Association leases 3.5 miles of the lower Urr. Within this section there is a large amount of good fly water with spinning permitted in higher water conditions. The lower beat, Craignair, is tidal at its bottom end and has nine named pools plus a number of other likely spots. The upper beat, Firthhead, has a pleasing mixture of pools glides and runs and is ideal fly water in most conditions.

Two miles of river fishing on the West bank of the River Ken at Ken Bridge, New Galloway, GR 640784. Run by the New Galloway Angling Association, this fishery offers salmon and trout fishing from July onwards and is easily accessed from the junction of the A713 and A712 roads. Tickets can be purchased from J. R. Hopkins Grocers on the High Street of New Galloway. Prior to fishing, anglers should understand the implications of sudden water flow changes throughout the river, which is heavily influenced by the workings of the Galloway Hydro Scheme.

Newton Stewart Angling Association maintain and provide some of the highest quality game fishing in Scotland. The Association is managed by an elected Committee who ensure that the waters and the fishing remain in first class condition. Dumfries and Galloway Angling Association
DGAA control the fishing, for all species, on a 2.5 mile double bank stretch of the lower river Nith, and more water on the River Cairn. Being at the lower end of the river Nith fresh fish can be encountered throughout the season, from the first day to the last. The season runs from the 25th of February until the 30th of November for migratory fish, one of the longest open seasons in the entire country. Our beat winds its way through pastoral farmland in the beautiful Dumfriesshire countryside. Wading is generally easy, over a Stable gravel bottom, although caution is advised. Tarbolton+Faiford Angling Club
The River Ayr is the largest of the Ayrshire salmon rivers and it has some excellent fly fishing water. As with all the Ayrshire rivers the River Ayr is primarily a summer and autumn fishery. However, there is a late spring run with excellent quality double figure fish taken each year, usually starting in April and peaking in May. The regular summer floods can bring large runs of summer grilse and fresh fish are caught until the season closes at the end of October.

Jedforest A.A.
Jedforest has trout fishing to offer on 5 miles of the River Teviot near Jedburgh. The water is split into two beats, Timpendean and Ormiston. Fishing begins on 1st April. Trout are widespread on both beats and an evening rise on the fly can provide great sport with fish weighing up to 3lb caught each year. A daily bag limit of six trout is imposed but catch and release is welcome.

Several miles of fly only water on the Lower Whiteadder, commencing above Allanton Bridge near Chirnside down to Paxton near Berwick upon Tweed. The water is divided into six beats with prime fishing for salmon, sea trout and wild brown trout. With the removal of estuary, coastal nets and many of the river obstructions. The Whiteadder's spring run of salmon has improved greatly over the past few years. The first fish of the Tweed season was caught on the Whiteadder on February 1st 2017.

East Lothian A.A. Trout
The East Lothian Tyne is an attractive and secluded river of approximately 30 miles in length, rising in the Moorfoot hills and flowing eastwards into Belhaven Bay, by Dunbar. ELAA lease and manage the majority of the river, from above Pencaitland down to the tide at Tyninghame. The Tyne has a good stock of wild trout, and is managed exclusively as a wild trout fishery above West Mills Weir in Haddington.

River Avon Federation
Linlithgow Angling Club is a founding member of the River Avon Federation, and in conjunction with the other two fishing Clubs on the Avon, leases the Migratory Rights to the majority of the Avon, on both banks. LAC members can fish from the bridge on the A801 to the sea at Grangemouth with the exception of 1km single bank stretch at Polmonthill, in total three distinct beats, totalling around 17km. LAC have the exclusive Rights to Beat 4, which is for fly fishing only and comprises around 8km of double bank fishing from approximately, the Union Canal aquaduct to the Bo’ness railway viaduct.

Within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow (40 min), and Perth (30 mins) the Allan offers affordable brown trout, sea trout, and salmon fishing for all. Scottish Carp Group
The Scottish Carp Group was formed in 1988 by five individuals who were keen to promote carp fishing in Scotland and this is still the main aim of the group today. Since those early days the group has grown to around two hundred members and now has five waters to it's name. The group is non profit making with all funds going back into the group. There are no waiting lists and membership is open to everyone. All our members are keen carp anglers but many of us fish for other species eg pike, tench, roach etc and some have an interest in sea & game angling. Approximately 16 miles of (mostly) double bank fishing on the River Leven. There is good access to most parts of the River,but if you fancy something a bit more challenging there is also the River Ore which is included with your permits. River tickets available 15 jan to October 15 for salmon . 15th March to 6 th October for brown Trout Trout lochs : brown trout loch is white loch so brown trout season applies . Fingask loch is a rainbow fishery , march 15th to end of November weather permitting. Association rules are on the website ,no killing of salmon until the first June and only a cock fish under ten pounds, then follow the Tay rules . No shrimping or worming, spinning is allowed but no upstream casting , good fly water throughout . The fishing starts 100 yds below the Bridge in Blairgowrie. No fishing above the bridge . Over three miles of fishing below the bridge split into upper and lower beats both banks due to shared fishing with the Rattray bank , club has Tuesday,Thursday, Saturday . Kyle of Sutherland AA
The area controlled by the Kyle of Sutherland Angling Association covers circa 14 miles of tidal water. Fishing is on both banks. Both salmon and sea trout feature in catches. Salmon anglers typically use rods of 12-15' in length coupled with floating lines and a selection of sinking tip sections. Shrimp flies such as the Oykel GP, Kylie Shrimp and Cascade are very popular choices by regular anglers.

Beauly Angling Club
Beauly Angling Club provides members with affordable access to river, firth, and loch fishing for Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout. Our fishing on the River Beauly extends downstream from Lovat Bridge to Wester Lovat; this equates to around 7 miles of bank fishing with ten named pools. The fishing on the inner half of the Beauly Firth is also included in club membership offering saltwater fly fishing, spinning and bait fishing predominately for Sea Trout. Alness Angling Club
We own and rent fishings on the River Averon which flows from its source Loch Morie though the valley of Kildermorie into the sea at Alness. We are very proud of our little river, which could be described as a classic spate river. When conditions are good - such as when the water is rising or falling, the fishing can be frenetic. The club has a strict conservation policy outlined in the club rules, and we promote catch and release. Favourite flies include Cascade, Yellow Ally's, Stoats Tail all in small sizes.

Inverurie Angling Association
The Inverurie Fishings comprise approximately 2.5 miles on the north bank of the Don plus 0.25 miles south bank. Plus a further 4 miles on the right bank of the River Ury. It is a lovely stretch of water passing through wooded countryside, with over a dozen named pools and a great variety of streams and glides offering excellent opportunity for both salmon and trout anglers.

Fishing is over 1.3 miles on both banks, from the tail of the Quarry Pool at the top of the beat, to the tail of Braehead Pool. We have the fishing from opening day on 11th February until 10th August each year. There is a fishing hut on the East bank at Cumberland - for the use of both members and visitors.

Kemnay Angling Club
The Kemnay Angling Club beat is located in the middle section of the River nestled between the infamous beats of Monymusk and Fetternear Estates. It consists of 11/4 miles of South bank fishing and a short section of North bank fishing. The beat runs upstream from the road bridge at Kemnay adjacent to Fetternear Estate as far as the Ton Burn and its march with the Monymusk beat, a few miles from the village of Monymusk.

Stonehaven and District Angling Association
The Association offers an excellent choice of waters to fish, with up to double figure Salmon and Sea Trout from the River Cowie; River Carron and the River Bervie. There is also plenty of sport fishing for stocked Blue Trout and Rainbow Trout in both the Allochie and Crossley Reservoirs. There are a few brownies too if you can catch them.

Ugie Angling Association
The river has 6 miles of double bank fishing, but the locals tend to fish off the north bank which contains over three miles of manicured single bank fishing in this north east spate river. Fishing methods are with the fly, the worm and spinner. Day tickets are now available on line.

Inverbervie & District Angling Association
There will be a limited number of permits available for those who live outwith Inverbervie but who wish to become an associated member of the club, priced at £20. More information on this is available from either the Post Office or the Crown Hotel. Six day permits a day are available to purchase, priced at £10/£5, or a weekly permit is also available for £20/£10. These have been limited by the IDAA in a bid to ensure that the river is not over-fished. Every angler will also be required to fill out a catch return form to allow the Esk Fisheries Board to monitor the river’s performance, which will be issued along with the permit and information and maps of the river.

Montrose and District AC
The Montrose and District Angling Club (M.D.AC), founded in 1947 has fished the River South Esk, five miles from Montrose, from the Road Bridge at Bridge of Dun downstream for over fifty years. The water is leased from the Southesk Estates and the Scottish Wildlife Trust. The water is tidal. Fishing for Salmon, Sea Trout and Finnock is permitted from both banks six days a week (Monday to Saturday inclusive) between 16 February and 31 October. The beat is closed on a Sunday.

The Association was formed in the mid 60's with the aim of improving fishing in the Badenoch area. The Association controls fishing on the River Spey from the mouth of the River Tromie to the Spey Dam at Laggan. There is also fishing on the A86 side of Loch Laggan and part of Loch Ericht.

Brechin Angling Club is one of the oldest Angling Clubs in Scotland. Formed on the 10th of May 1875, the club continues to go from strength to strength and is the largest club within the Esk District Salmon Fisheries Board. Throughout our history we have been privileged to have had the association and support of the Earls of Dalhousie who throughout have been Honorary presidents. The club is equipped to have up to 170 members, and currently have vacancies for new members.
