Loch Tay Highland Lodges are situated on the north shore of Loch Tay near its western end at Killin. There are 10 salmon boats available for hire. Six have rights to fish in the western sector of Loch Tay and six for the central sector. Being situated near the boundary between the western and central sectors are ideally situated to access both areas. However, the western sector is undoubtedly the most productive part of the Loch and the 6 west end boats amount to a quarter of all the boats permitted to fish in this area, making Loch Tay Highland Lodges one of the main providers of fishing on the Loch.
The boats are all 16 feet long, each with a cuddy for protection from inclement weather and outboard motors are provided in the hire price. They are comfortable and safe to use on Loch Tay. Boat hire costs £60 per day per boat. This allows you to troll with 3 rods.
Ideally situated close to the best fishing spots on Loch Tay so you do not have far to sail before you are in with the fish. Staff are knowledgeable and always on hand to provide advice on where to fish and the best methods. There are a number of local experts who hire out their services as ghillies
The marina is situated in the midst of the Loch Tay Highland Lodges complex. On the hillside surrounding the marina there are also have numerous luxury pine chalets and tepees which can accommodate over 250 people, and a host of other indoor and outdoor activities including an equestrian centre. Right by the marina there is a very comfortable bar and resturant. Loch Tay Highland Lodges is the perfect place for a memorable day's fishing. There is also lots to do for non-fishing members of the family whether you are on a day trip or here for a longer holiday. It is the perfect place for a holiday.
The Boathouse Restaurant & Bar is located on the lochside , a warm welcome is guaranteed along with delicious seasonal menus prepared by resident Italian chef. Open fire and loch views. Take aways also available and packed lunches can be prepared on request.
