The Fintray House Beat is situated on the lower reaches of the river; the beat starts about 2 miles downstream from Fintray Bridge on the north bank.
At only a 10 minute drive from the villages of Dyce, Kintore and Newmachar the beat offers 1 mile of single bank fishing set in a peaceful and secluded area surrounded by farmland with good access and parking available.
Salmon can be caught from opening day from the 4 holding pools, while Brown trout can be taken throughout the water especially during the summer evenings when they will readily come up for a dry fly. Sea Trout also give good sport mainly during the months of June and July.
Wading is possible during low river levels however most of the beat can be fished from the bank.
Catches: The beat has only been lightly fished by family and friends during the past few years and no catch records are available.
