Ballantrae

Ballantrae is the lowest beat on the River Stinchar. It is a double bank beat with both banks running 2km inland from the estuary.

There are 14 named pools, some of them tidal, where it is possible to catch salmon even in very low water.

Fishing on Ballantrae is by fly only.

The fishing is usually let by the week only with lodge.
