FishPal provides an online booking, advice and information system for all types of flyfishing.
FishPal has evolved out of a series of marketing initiatives for fishing and started with the build up of the largest letting agency on the River Tweed. Fellow agents and owners on that river were then persuaded to come together on the new FishTweed web site. The success of this operation (now run as a franchise) brought requests from other rivers to do the same thing, leading to the birth of FishDee and FishTay and the company name changing to FishSalmon. Further requests from industry and public bodies in Scotland to extend the system to all types of fishing led to yet another change of name to FishScotland. The success of this company in promoting fishing in Scotland led to requests for help from English and Welsh rivers and the establishment in 2006 of FishBritain. In 2008, Requests from Iceland and Norway lead to an amalgamation of all companies and a further change of name to FishPal
FishPal is run as a franchise system providing its IT systems, web sites, booking engine and help desk to franchisees who provide the local knowledge and management. Most franchises are taken up by existing industry groupings or by private individuals who know their market well. Some franchises are run in house.
This system is open to all fisheries wherever they are and whatever their size or type, providing they keep to proper standards and have sustainable stock management. Contact us via our Help Centre
