Membership is open to all and currently, there is no waiting list to join the Association where there is a one-off fee to join of £100 (2017) and thereafter an annual subscription of £210 (2017).
Once a member is over 65 and has five years membership, there is a 50% reduction in the annual subscription.
The annual membership for under 18's is a very reasonable £40 per annum.
The Association offers a fantastic opportunity to access a wide range of fishings, in outstanding locations, to suit their individual requirements.
There is a growing conservation ethos within the membership which currently returns over 80% of all fish caught from all fisheries. This is emphasised by the fact the Association also recommends members support the River Dee Conservation Code.
The Association hosts a wonderfully informative website with a huge range of reference information, guidance for members and visitors, special offers and an online discussion forum for anglers to keep in touch and get advice.
The Association offers fantastic fishing at extremely good value for money for their member which is why the Association's membership is stable.
The beats are extremely well managed and maintained, and the Association has its own team of contractors carrying out a detailed annual maintenance programme. There is normally angling equipment available for tuition days, with a selection of well attended hosted open days throughout the year which are extremely popular with the members and visiting celebrities.
In order to maintain standards, there is a quality induction programme for new members where they can learn all about the fishing opportunities, fishing etiquette, fish ID etc. This provides a good foundation for new members to become acquainted with other members and the wide range of fishings available.
In an effort to encourage youngsters into the sport not only are the fees for juniors deliberately low but members can also take 2 children under 12 out with them, free of charge.
The Association has strong and positive links with all the local Fishery Boards and Trusts and actively assists in fulfilling their aims and objectives.
