Maxton

There are 4 named pools and Maxton is primarily a salmon beat but has had good runs of grilse and sea trout though the summer months. This very attractive beat has considerable potential. It is run on a family syndicate basis and tenants are expected to be friendly and help each other.

3 of the named pools are fished by wading and the other can be easily reached from the bank depending on the height of the water. There is no ghillie and it is strongly recommended that a wading pole and buoyancy device are used when wading.
