Overview

The Glenlivet and Inveravon CommunityAssocation control the fishing rightson the river Livet on two beats.

B Beat commences at Allanread Car park and finishes at Tomnavoulin. AB37 9JJ.

The start of Beat A: Glen Livet Hall and runs down to the junction of the Avon

AB37 9BT

The River Livet has runs of Salmon and Sea Trout between the middle of May and end of September, worm fishing is allowed and mainly successful in spate, whereas fly fishing is the norm and the preferred method. Small Shrimp fly and Cascade patterns work well for Salmon and the traditional patterns for Sea Trout and Brown Trout with drab flies such Greenwells Glory, March Brown and Black Spider fished in late afternoon into dusk yielding some nice surprises.
