Churchill College ligger i et 17 hektar stort åpent parkområde i det nordvestlige hjørnet av byen, en ti minutters spasertur (eller en kort busstur) fra det historiske sentrum. Parkering, som er lite tilgjengelig i denne byen, er gratis, men vær oppmerksom på at det er etter først til mølla-prinsippet og at reservasjon eller garanti ikke kan garanteres. Historie

Founded in 1958, Churchill College is the National and Commonwealth Memorial to Sir Winston Churchill. Nobel Prize winners Francis Crick, discoverer of the structure of DNA, and Anthony Hewish, the discoverer of the pulsar, were amongst its founding Fellows.

The Dining Hall is open daily during the following hours:

Breakfast: 07:30 – 09:30

Self-service lunch: 12:00 – 14:00

Self-service dinner: 17:45 – 19:15

Please note this is not self-catering accommodation, the student kitchen facilities are not for external guests.

The spacious grounds are home to an extensive collection of contemporary sculptures from a variety of well-known artists. They provide the perfect backdrop for an hour or two relaxing in the sun with a cool drink and a good book.

Andre fasiliteter

Additional facilities for residents include on-site laundry, an all-day bar and café (subject to some restricted opening times) and sports facilities including squash and tennis courts and a multi-gym. Sports equipment, hair dryers can all be borrowed from the Porters' Lodge. Irons/ironing board can be found within the Laundry facilities. WiFi is available via the UniOfCam-Guest network. When connecting via this network you will be asked to register by email. Once you have done this, you will be sent an email and asked to confirm the request. If you do not have access to your emails to confirm the registration, please ask for a WiFi ticket at the Porters’ Lodge. There are designated outside smoking areas in College, please ask the Lodge upon arrival. Smoking in the bedroom is prohibited and a £100.00 fine appies if not adhered to.

Excellent stay, and always feels so at home even 40 years after matriculation! Excellent value for money, and the buffet breakfast was super good, had all we need including excellent gluten free range - thank you. Thanks to the Accommodation Office for considering my rooming requests. Looking forward to the next time.

Large modern room with desk and ensuite bathroom immaculately clean. Excellent efficient service from the porters in the lodge helping me with directions to my next location in Cambridge. Substantial breakfast with wide variety of options. Perfect for an overnight stay if the location is right

Both Check-In and Check-Out are dealt with at the Porters' Lodge. Check-In is available from 15:00 anytime, Check-Out time is 10:00. Rooms not vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure will be charged a £30.00 late check-out fee. Lost key replacement charge is £30.00.

There is plentiful free parking on site. However, please note spaces cannot be reserved, it operates on a first come first serve basis.

From the City Centre

Storey's Way is the second turning on the right as you come out of Cambridge along the Madingley Road to the M11 and A428. This junction is marked with a traffic island in the middle of the road. Turn into Storey's Way and Churchill College is on the left.

Arriving by Rail

Cambridge railway station has a frequent service from London Kings Cross, the Midlands and the North and a direct link from Stansted Airport, as well as plentiful local services. Cambridge railway station is situated only 2 miles from Churchill College.

Arriving by Bus
