Welcome to Dalheim in Laggo
Three kilometres up from the express boat quay in Laggo lies Dalheim farm, located on the southern bank of the Langfjord River, serving as a gateway to the wilderness. The farm was established in the 1930s as a homestead by Egil and Elsa Jensen. After active farming ended around 1970, their eldest son Charles took over and developed the property into a tourist destination, which he managed until his passing in 2023.
Today, the farm is a rural heritage site with distinctive buildings and artistic installations. In 2024, Eva Heika and Trond Rypdal Sveen purchased Dalheim. They live on the farm, maintain the buildings, and welcome both returning and new guests.

Fishing at Dalheim
Dalheim is a base for salmon and sea char fishing in the lower stretches of the Langfjord River. Renting the main house provides exclusive fishing rights on the Dalheim beat — a roughly 500-metre stretch on the southern bank.
The Jensen Pool, Charles Hole, and the lower section of Nedre Hyttedammen are included. The number of rods/anglers on the beat is unlimited — guests decide how many can fish.
Accommodation
Main House
The main house remains largely unchanged since construction, offering a view into early settler life. It can be rented weekly, with Friday as arrival and departure day.
It has 10 beds on the upper floor, summer water supply, a shower and freezer in the basement, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, kettle, and all necessary utensils, crockery, glasses, and cutlery. The outdoor toilet is in the barn.
Guests provide their own bedding and food. Heating is by electricity and wood stove. Martinbu storehouse with two beds can be included by arrangement. Cleaning is the tenant’s responsibility or by agreement.
Rolfbu Storehouse
Rolfbu is a small cabin with a loft suitable for 2–3 people. It includes fridge and freezer, electric heating, hot plates, and essential cookware, dishes, and cutlery. Water is collected from the yard, and the outdoor toilet is in the barn. Cleaning is the tenant’s responsibility or by agreement.
When the main house (with fishing rights) is not rented, exclusive fishing rights on the Dalheim beat can be rented separately. The number of rods/anglers is unlimited.
