Eden report W/C 22nd of April
A steady week on the Eden with Low House getting 2 fish on the fly on Tuesday and Wednesday both 12lb and reported a few more lost off. Aswell as several fishing being caught on private waters throughout the Eden system.
The week started at 2”10 and is currently at 2”4 and gin clear, water temp still around the 10’C mark, fish still could be sneaking up the system.
Sink tips and aluminium tubes or sized 8-12 flys should do the trick, cascade and Willie gun types work well.
Looking forward there’s abit of rain due today nothing major and then mainly overcast with sunny spells for the rest of the week and it’s warming up getting up to 17/18’c
Trout fishing- hatches of fly are becoming for frequent thought the day any with the warmer weather coming the trout should play ball and come on the feed

We at FishPal would like to thank Terence McDonnell for his regular reports, he is a farmer who started fishing for trout as a young boy. The late Victor Gubbins, Eden Lacy beat, introduced him to salmon fishing a few years ago along with Andrew Jackson, and since then he has been passionate about it. Working on the land near the Eden, Terence is never far away from the river as we thank him for his reports.
