Overview

Bolfracks Trout Fishing — private trout and grayling waters set at Lower Bolfracks, within easy reach of Pitlochry and the heart of Perthshire’s scenic countryside. Ideal for anglers seeking relaxed countryside beats, the river offers both easy wading and comfortable bank fishing for wild trout and grayling.

Practical on-site amenities include five fishing huts.  Dog-friendly access and beginner-friendly waters make this a great choice for family trips, first-timers and experienced anglers wanting peaceful, productive fishing in the central Highlands.

There is also equipment hire available - waders, rod & reels, flies, etc - as well as a Ghillie service.  Both services require to be booked in advance - phone for details and prices.

Food & beverage

Meals and drinks are not included in the booking price at Bolfracks Trout Fishing; visitors should plan to bring their own refreshments for a full day on the water. The riverside huts provide sheltered seating and a simple bench area that is convenient for unpacking a packed lunch.

There is a BBQ sited at the hut at Dalrawer for anglers to use - but you will need to bring everything you need to cook on it - i.e. charcoal, lighter, food, utensils, etc.  There is some wood lying around which can also be used for this.

For bigger parties a BBQ can be organised for you - but this needs to be by prior arrangement with the owner and with at least two week's notice.
