Overview

Ninewells Fishing on the River Whiteadder is located downstream of Chirnside Bridge. Just under two miles of single bank fly fishing with some of the nicest fly water on the river the stretch has gained an incredible reputation for its Spring Salmon Fishing. With over 14 named pools and a huge variety of water it's a fly fishing paradise if the water levels are in your favour.

The stretch is managed and maintained by James Armstrong who owns Chasing Fins. He has kept the stretch private for the last few seasons and used it for his guiding. For 2024 he will be allowing day ticket anglers to fish there at certain times of the season along with his guided clients and syndicate members. There will be a maximum of two day ticket rods allowed to fish the stretch per day. Guiding can be arranged with James if required for the day and can be booked direct with him. Days will be added as the season progresses so keep checking for availability as tickets will be very limited.
