Inshewan Estate owns 2.5 miles of the north bank of the South Esk. The fishings on the opposite bank are rented from Kinnordy Estate and Eskhill Estate enabling both banks to be fished.
Most of the beat is serviced by a road which is usable by all but the lowest cars. The pools are kept strimmed in the summer and branches and obstacles kept to the minimum. The pools vary greatly, giving fishing in very high water and also very low.
The stretch is split into two beats fished by two rods on each beat. The fishery encourage weekly family lets. It is a very attractive and productive part of the South Esk. Dogs are allowed on the riverbank provided they are well-controlled and do not dig up the riverbank.
