Overview

All the Beauly Angling Club waters are open from 11th February until the close of Season on 15th October.
Permits are available through Grahams in Inverness or from Cruivend House, Cruivend if in the Beauly area - please see the info fields for phone number.

Beats 1-3 directly downstream of Lovat bridge provide lovely fly water and are fished predominantly for Salmon. Beat 1 is fishable from both sides of the River - see the website for access details from the car park.

Beats 4-7 are most popular with Sea Trout anglers and apart from beat 8 (The Ferry) flow rates can be slow in low water.

All beats are tidal and effectively cannot be fished for between 2 and 4 hours around high tide. Approximate tide times are available on the Beauly Angling Club website if  an official copy is not available.

The fishing on the inner half of the Beauly Firth is also available, offering saltwater fly fishing, spinning and bait fishing predominately for Sea Trout.

Why you need to fish here

The Beauly offers interesting fishing with the twice daily tide. The fishing can be very good on a rising tide.
