Welcome to Ruantallain Estate. Ruantallain is a spectacular sportingestate of 20,000 acres lying coast to coast across the middle of the Isle of Jura with Loch Tarbert at its southern boundary. Largely spread across the inaccessible western coast of the island, the estate boasts some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain, much of which can only be reached via boat or on foot.
Owned and run by the Bury family since 1984 the estate offers fantastic and unique sporting opportunities for both fishing and stalking parties, as well as an exciting and diverse experience for family holidays.
Over a three/four day period in May a fishing party may expect to catch up to 300/400 fish. Sizes vary from three pounds to about one third of a pound, with fish of about a pound as a good medium expectation. There are two ghillies in attendance to help the inexpert fishermen and to offer expert advice on conditions and terrain.
