About River Annan Events

River Annan Events are organised and delivered by the Annan DSFB to offer anglers organised fishing days on various beats throughout the year. The days are also to help raise money towards youth angling development projects within the Annan catchment with all money raised donated to the Annan DSFB.

For more information on these events and the youth angling development days, check out the Annan DSFB Facebook page.

River Annan Events include:

  • Spring Brown Trout Workshops - A morning of theory and instruction on invertebrates and river fly life, advice on tackle, tactics and fly selection plus casting instuction and casting demos at Johnstonebridge Centre followed by an afternoon of fishing to put theory into practice.

  • Summer Sea Trout Nights - A night of sea trout fishing on the upper river fishing allocated beats through the night. A great way to try night time sea trout fishing with advice on tactics, fly choice and pool selection. Further instruction available.

  • Winter Grayling Days - A day of grayling fishing throughout the river with several beats available. Meeting at Johnstonebridge Centre for bacon rolls and te/coffee before beat allocation and fishing for the rest of the day.

Full details of events will be listed nearer the time with further information on the event, booking options and conditions.

All events are 100% catch & release.
