Wimbleball Reservoir is set within the beautiful surroundings of the Exmoor national park. There are many bays and inlets to explore across the 370 acres of water, from the shallows in Bessoms bay to the depths of Steart bay by the Dam & the picturesque tree lined Upton arm.
Fly fishing for stocked Rainbow and wild Brown Trout. There are great hatches of flies throughout the season providing fantastic sport both on dry fly & subsurface with small nymphs. During the back end of the season some exhilarating sport can be had in & around the shallows as the fish Start to target the fry.
There is a superb head of high-quality rainbow trout.
The fish stocked will not disappoint you for their hard fighting qualities, searing runs into your backing & acrobatics when hooked.
An absolute bonus are the resident wild Brown trout, if you are lucky enough to encounter one, the fight will be as spectacular as their looks.
