Aline Estate has approximately 5 1/2 miles (9km) of bank fishing on the eastern shore of Loch Langavat, running from the mouth of the Langadale River to the Allt Airigh Os Fid burn.
As per tradition most fishing on the loch is done by trolling from one of the two Estate boats.
There is also some superb bank-fishing available in some of the bays and at the narrows for brown trout and salmon with the occasional sea trout encountered. There is also the chance of hooking an Arctic char or a monster from the deep in the guise of a Ferox trout, with weights of up to 10lbs recorded.
The Aline section of the loch can be reached by foot by either using the track from the Vigadale car park
(approx. 2.5 miles) which brings you in via the Langadale river to the head of the Loch or by the track situated just above Aline lodge (approx. 3.5 miles) which has the most stunning views of looking down Loch Seaforth towards Skye and also right out to the Atlantic before descending down to the Aline Bay on Loch Langavat.
There are a total of up to 15 tickets available daily for bank-fishing.
Ticket holders will be expected to adhere to the legal requirement of fishing only one rod at a time.
