THE TROUT LOCHS
The four trout lochs are all very different, each with its own character and appeal.
Amidst the most spectacular scenery and wildlife, all are within easy walking distance of the shop and all stocked frequently with prime, hard-fighting Rainbow trout. The Inverawe and Lily Loch are both suitable for disabled bank fishing, with car access to the lochside.
The HYDRO LOCH
This loch simulates a sea pool, with pebble bottom and a deep hole. Tree free, for straight - forward fishing, it is very good on windy days.
The INVERAWE LOCH
The home loch overlooking Inverawe House with a peat bottom, consistent depth and some trees, ideal intermediate fishing. The Inverawe Loch is very popular with the locals and you will often find Willie, Harry and John fishing here "on a dry morning". Accessible by car for the disabled by prior arrangement
THE LILY LOCH
A good stalking loch, suitable for the more experienced fishermen. This original fishing pond is peat and gravel bottomed, with variable depths. Ideal for nymphing and dry fly. Some small, natural brown trout in addition to stocked rainbows Accessible by car for thedisabled by prior arrangement.
HUGO’S LOCH FOR FISHING LESSONS
Just below the shop, and without trees to ensure snag-free casting, it has started many fishermen onto a lifelong hobby. Stocked with smaller fish, you can be assured a fun days sport. Introductory fishing lessons are given on this loch (lessons must be booked in advance).
THE ANGLING SCHOOL & HUGO’S LOCH
The fishery fully knowledgeable instructors offer a great chance to learn how to fly fish. Brilliant for the beginner or those who want to freshen up on their technique.

Lessons for beginners include learning about safety and different types of tackle used and how to cast and land a fish and take place on Hugo’s loch.
For the more experienced Inverawe Trout Fisheries can offer, roll casting, overhead casting, single hauling, double hauling, entomology, fishing tactics, environment and laws.
