The Lower Grandtully Fishing provides very picturesque double bank fly water on the Upper Tay close to the falls at Grandtully. In low water, it is delightful fly water and in high water spinning is permitted.
In medium and lower levels, the smaller pools have fast runs and are a delight to fish with the fly. A sink tip or intermediate line is generally recommended in such conditions. In the summer and lower levels, a floating line is appropriate and flys most used include the Stoats Tail, Munro Killer, Willie Gun and Ally Shrimp with small and medium sized hooks.
In high water, a spinning rod is suggested or fly rod with sinking tip and tube flies. Certain pools are best fished with the boat provided and guidance notes are available in the fishing huts.
All other forms of fishing are not permitted.
The beat can be fished all day and a ghillie may be available on request.
