The River Borgie is 7 miles in length from where it flows out of Loch Slaim to where it enters the sea on the north coast of Scotland at Torrisdale Bay.
The river offers fantastic fishing opportunities, excellent wildlife of all types and is set amongst attractive scenery.
Fishing on the river opens on 12th January and closes on 30th September. Nowadays, fishing is by fly only, and the River Borgie is full catch and release until 30 May.
Catch and release beyond this date is encouraged though not mandatory. In recent years over 60% of fish caught have been released.
Accommodation at the Borgie can be found at the Old Manse, a well appointed self catering lodge.
The Borgie is situated 2 1/2 hour's drive north of Inverness.
Airlines flying into Inverness are Ryanair from East Midlands, British Airways from Heathrow, Easyjet from Luton and Flybe from Birmingham and Manchester.
