This beat is located between Chesters and Chipchase on the North Tyne.
Owned by the same family for over 400 years, the fishing has recently been brought back under the management of the owners and a substantial investment is being made to improve the beat, its access and the amenities to fishing tenants.
Access can be made at both ends of the beat and it offers a varied range of water from small, fast and rocky pots, classic salmon pools to deep slow sections and flat glides. There is a chance of a fish for anyone whatever ability, with either a fly or spinner, although a wading pole and a buoyancy aid is a must at all times.
Ghillies are available on a part or full time basis and contact should be made with them before fishing. Lunch, picnics and refreshments can also be provided and there are a number of outstanding hotels and pubs in the area.
Rods to meet at Chollerton Church prior to fishing.
