Breda Fishings are situated on Middle/Upper Donside and offer 2.5 miles of single right bank fishing for 4 Salmon Rods and 2 Brown Trout Rods.
The Breda Fishings are a perfect mix of shallow streamy water and deep holding pools which hold salmon for much of the year. There are 20 named pools. Famous not just for its salmon and sea trout fishing, the Don boasts some of Scotland's finest wild brown trout fishing. The river which is of modest width, is easily fished by wading or off the bank in high water.
The 2.5 mile single bank fishings pedestrian access along a wide bank and 4x4 vehicular access. Towards the top of the Upper beat, the river runs along a steep wooded hillside which unfolds downstream on to verdant farmland.
The salmon season runs from 11 February to 31 October and trout from 15 March to 01 September.
The Beat is situated 2 miles Northwest of Alford. The village is a short drive from the beat, where you will find a variety of shops, cafes, and a supermarket. There is also a caravan park in the grounds of the nearby Haughton House.
