THE MIAGGIE AND MIAGGIE POTS (N.B. ‘House’ Rod retained)
Laithers Estate also owns approximately 330 metres of the North (left) bank of the river formerly part of Carnousie, comprising the Miaggie and Miaggie Pots pools. This is a great advantage to Laithers’ fishermen, particularly in respect of the Miaggie Pot Pool which fishes much better off the North bank. The estate retains the right to fish a fifth ‘house’ rod which will be exercised only occasionally by the owner or his ghillie when water conditions suit. When water conditions are too high to cross the river by wading the house rod may fish on the lower half of the lower beat providing one of the let rods are fishing Miaggie/Miaggie Pots.
FISHING HUT
The beat is served by an excellent stone-built fishing lodge, providing fishermen with comfortable shelter and lunching facilities. Further fishing huts are situated at Morrisons, Miaggie, Turning Wheel and Lower Heron. The lodge comprises:
Large meeting room with open fireplace, fish room, ghillies’ room, locker storage, cooking facilities and W .C.
COTTAGES
Two cottages are available to let and preference is given to fishing tenants who rent a cottage along with their fishing. Each cottage is fully furnished. A cooker, refrigerator and all necessary cooking utensils are provided. Each cottage can sleep 5 people (including camp beds). Bed linen is supplied. No dogs are allowed. Earliest time for entry into the cottages is 4.00 pm on day of arrival and cottages must be vacated by 10.00 am on day of departure.

Por qué necesitas pescar aquí
The fishings at Laithers extend to approximately 2 miles of the south bank of the lower Deveron, some 3 miles west of Turriff (on the B9024 road to Huntly). This most attractive stretch of river offers excellent salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing.
