Booking Agreement, Terms & Conditions & Catch restrictions

1. Guests booking fishing at Careysville, do so on the understanding that they will use the Lodge accommodation
2. Full payment for any extras must be settled on departure
3. No allowances will be given for adverse weather or conditions
4. The Careysville fishing offer is not negotiable
5. Guests check in:  From 6pm, prior to this house is locked. From 6pm a staff member will be on site to greet you. To avoid disappointment please do not arrive before 6pm.
6. Arriving guests are not permitted to go down to the river and fishing hut, until after 6pm, to ensure the privacy of the departing group
7. Departing guests must vacate their rooms by 10am.
8. Careysville House and fishing hut adopt a strict no smoking policy. This is in compliance with health and safety regulations and is also the wishes of Lord and Lady Burlington. Guests are welcome to smoke outside.
9. Dogs are very welcome at Careysville, however it is the responsibility of the owner to clean up after their dog and dispose of it in a proper manner. Otherwise the owner will incur a €200.00 charge which will be  billed and settled prior to departure.
10. Careysville House reserves the right to charge guests for the cost of rectifying or cleaning any damage which has been caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless acts of guests to the property or structure.   If such damage or loss is discovered during the stay it will be drawn to the guest’s attention but, if discovered after departure, we reserve the right to make a charge to your credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the costs for payment to your address.
11. The estate reserves the right to refuse any person without giving a reason. 
12. Change over surcharge. This will apply to full weekly bookings where there are multiple changeovers throughout the week.
    A charge of €10 per room will be applied to cover extra staffing and laundry costs.
13. By making this booking, you have agreed to conform to Careysville's 2023 rod catch limits.. see below

Careysville 2024 rod catch limit

• Each guest is entitled to keep 1 salmon per season
• Thereafter they may continue to fly fish only, on catch & release
• If a fish is bleeding from the gills, it must be kept. If that guest has already taken a salmon, then this fish is given to the house
• All coloured salmon in August are to be returned
• September is mandatory "catch & release"
• We reserve the right to move to full "catch & release"during the season if management deem it necessary in the interests of conservation
• We do encourage guests to operate a "catch & release" policy
