The Awe is a stunning river with a great depth of variety, located in one of the most breathtaking regions of Scotland. A hydro scheme ensures that the water level remains fishable all season.
Despite being just four miles long, it was once renowned as the big fish river of Scotland – flick through the pages of The Doomsday Book of Giant Salmon and you'll see the Awe crops up regularly alongside 50lb monsters. While these huge fish are now a thing of legend, sea-liced 20lb specimens – even 30lb – are still recorded each season.
The Upper Awe is split into two beats, with two Rods per beat, rotating at 1.30pm each day. Fishing is by fly only. You will be supplied with all beat information on booking.
