W/C 15th April
The river continued to run at a good height all week and some anglers had great success. Tuesday and Dave Johnstone had his first cast of the season after work and was rewarded quickly with 2 salmon of 13 lbs and 12 lbs. Chris Worthington tried Holme Rose and had a 7 lb fish. Wednesday and Mark Czerniakiewikz had a 16 lb salmon from Nairnside. Thursday and Sandy Wallace continued his great season with 2 salmon at 18 lbs and 9 lbs. Gordon Rennie also had a nice fish of 13 lbs and Jon Gibb fishing the Cawdor beat had a cracking fish estimated between 20 and 22 lbs. Ewan Macdonald had an 18 lb from the Town Water. Saturday and Jason McCruden had his 1st cast of the season and landed an 8lb salmon at Rosefield and Chris Worthington continued his week with a 6 lb fish. All these fish were safely released. Levels are still holding so this coming week should be good again.
