Glendelvine

Glendelvine is fabled as the beat where, in October 1922, Miss Georgina Ballantine landed the biggest rod caught salmon in the British Isles. The fish took two hours and five minutes to land and weighed 64 lbs. "The heaviest fish of the season, the fish of many seasons, the record for the British Isles" (Miss GW Ballantine). It remains the record to this day.

Miss Ballantine's cottage overlooking the boat pool where the "Homeric battle" took place is available to let for anyone fishing nearby. It sleeps 6.

The beat flows through stunning countryside with beautiful trees and farmland all around. It fishes well in most heights with excellent fly water.
