Salmon & Grilse

11th February – 31st March      Total Catch & Release  Scottish Law

In recognition of the placing of Scottish Atlantic Salmon on the IUCN Endangered Species Red List, the Nairn DSFB strongly recommends the following –

1st April – 31st May           Total Catch & Release         

1st June – end of season               Catch and release all hen fish

                                                          Catch and release all cock fish 10lbs and over

                                                          90% catch and release all cock grilse under 10lbs       

1st September – end of season   No worming                                

Spinning only above 0.5 on SEPA Firhall Gauge
