Yesterday's Catches - Today's River Levels - Tomorrow's Availability

November 2021 - No. 21

Season End

Hard to believe that we are fast approaching the end of November and with it the end of the salmon season across the country. Many rivers have of course been closed for some time but there are still many who are looking to have a final days fishing on rivers like the Tweed and Nith to see if there is a chance of a late autumn fish.

What is keeping us incredibly busy right now is not so much the booking of those last few days of this season but rather the number of enquiries coming in asking about availability for next season. If you are reading this note as an owner or agent of a beat then please do try and get your 2022 availability loaded on to the site to help anglers get on with booking their trips for next year.

If you have had a "renewal" note from us regarding Tweed fishing that has been offered to you please can I ask you to either pay for the fishing now or use the decline button if you don't want the same dates for next season. This then allows us to offer the dates to others.

A challenging year at times for so many reasons which for many rivers meant some difficult fishing conditions. It being hot and sunny and no rain for months on end certainly didn't help but as ever, there are those who will reflect on this season as a good season overall with the simple pleasure of being outdoors and on a favourite beat more than enough to make many a good days fishing.

Tight lines to those still out fishing this season and for the rest of us, time to start getting those dates in the diary for next season and getting all our tackle in order ready for the new season.
