Dilston - Although we were relative beginners this is clearly a lovely stretch of water. Our gillie (Victor) was very helpful. No fish caught but it didn't matter. We will be back.

Andrew McKimm, age 16, with his PB fish caught on Aboyne Castle and Craigendinnie.

Customer Feedback

Birse - A good variety of pools. Plenty of space for 4 rods. Lovely beat to fish. River banks nicely strimmed and access roads well maintained, as good as you get anywhere. A vey professional attitude at all times. A good balanced approach to the guests. There if needed. Freedom to fish as you feel comfortable. No pressure. A lot of enthusiasm. Very few Ghillies tick as many boxes as this young man.

Invery And Tilquhillie - The most interesting gillie I've ever fished with. I could have talked to Colin all day. Tom in the FishPal office was very helpful.

Sluie - Loved this beat. We could have done with a bit more water to hold fish in more of the pools. I rose 9 fish so had my chances. I'd definitely go back to Sluie.

One of two fish for Philip Black fishing Murthly.

The cloudless skies and splitting sunshine coupled with warm temperatures definitely made fishing challenging last week but there were still some nice fish caught from the Tay system. It was good to see grilse start to make an appearance on the river - read more.

Mr Philip Black celebrated his birthday in style with his brother Tony on the Murthly 2 Beat. Presents don't come much better than a fine birthday brace and there was more success at Murthly 2 on Friday. It was a much better week at Islamouth with the water dropping. Mr David Clarke and his party had a great first half of the week landing a total of ten fish including fresh grilse which was good to see. Mr Jim Ferrie and his party were fishing at Islamouth during the second half of the week and enjoyed some superb sport with most of the fish taking a striped Sunray. There were also several fish lost which proved to be frustrating for some!

Summer is a fantastic time of year to be out in the great Scottish outdoors - find Tay fishing.

Stobhall - This was our first trip to the Tay. The two gillies, Ernie and John, were very welcoming and made our day even better. Two really nice lads who go out of their way to help you catch fish. We can't wait for a return trip!
