Yesterday's Catches - Today's River Levels - Tomorrow's Availability

Newsletter No 21 (June 2020)

This week we wait with baited breath to listen to the next update from Nicola Sturgeon, in which we hope to see a further release of restrictions. There is encouraging news on the weekly "R" statistics in Scotland, this is thanks to everyones efforts in keeping to the current rules and restrictions.

15lber sea liced fish Park River Dee Monday 15th June.

On the fishing front, river levels continue to remain on summer low and the long term forecast does not have much in the way of rain. Some lower beats on rivers like the Spey at Gordon Castle and Tweed at Tillmouth are benefitting from these conditions, whilst others are in need of rain to freshen things up.

The majority of photographs we are seeing and sharing on our social media channels are of clean, sea liced fish, which certainly wets the appetite to get out there and get in amongst it! The dream of that first cast on the river is certainly keeping me going at the moment and hopefully we will all be out fishing soon!

Speaking with owners, ghillies and boatman on our system there has been much progress made to make your fishing trip safe and a pleasant experience. There is plenty of advice on socially distancing, meeting your ghillie, as well as hand sanitiser and gloves which are now part of your fishing kit.

Bookings have been steadily increasing this week, which has been helped with the news that the Scottish tourism sector are preparing to reopen on 15th July.

We have restricted the office telephone from 1pm until 2pm, Monday to Friday. We recommend booking your fishing online to ensure that you don't miss out on the availability. If you have a query or require further assistance please email [email protected] and a member of the team will assist you.

Tight lines if you are able to go fishing and for everyone else, hopefully we can go fishing on our favourite river very soon.
