For those who are planning ahead to 2020, we now have summer fishing for the Spey with accommodation. Please contact Tom for more information.

International guests are choosing Scotland as the place to discover Spey casting. A party from Switzerland said they had a great week on the Dee with fish caught despite poor water.

We have been sharing our knowledge on where to fish with anglers since the company was created in 2003.

We are also the first company in the world to sell salmon fishing permits via the internet and for over 16 years we have been striving to make fishing available and affordable for all.

Above Kelso 63 fish were reported last week, with Rutherford 11 and Dryburgh Lower 11 having the best of the fishing. Anglers are choosing to stay at the following hotels nearby, the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel and the Buccleuch Arms Hotel, both award winning places to stay near the these middle beats.

Boleside has fished well during the last few weeks with 32 fish. The beat's position, just below the meeting of Tweed with the Ettrick Water, and the fact that for most of its 2 miles it is double bank, accounts for much of its success. Places to stay near the beat include Kingsknowes Hotel and Abbotsford House both of which are near to the beat.

Fishing permits were added only last week for the River Till at Tiptoe. One angler took advantage of this and caught 4 sea trout at the weekend. The estate also has self catering accommodation, so make the weekend of it and stay in one of their cottages.

The new Where To Stay section on FishTweed now has a range of accommodation providers across the river system.

If you are visiting the Scottish Borders for a fishing trip do spend a few extra days enjoying the regions rich cultural heritage. From its mysterious hill forts, its ruined abbeys and picturesque stately homes with their designed landscapes to the pleasant market towns.
