More day rods have been added to the River Spey. The following beats have just added day permits.
Rothes and Aitkenway have added some day permits for the summer months. Records during the last 10 years see an average annual salmon catch of 465 fish from 13 named pools. The beat is fished by six rods using fly only. Read more.
Delagyle beat have added day rods. This very beautiful and secluded beat enjoys one and a half miles of fishing with seven pools that can be fished off the bank. Other pools are fished by wading. Read more.

One of seventy two fish caught on Deeside last week.
River Dee reported seventy two fish last week. River levels were unsettled with heavily stained water at times, but neither of these were a hindrance to fish that were running in numbers. Find Fishing.
World Spey Casting Champion Gary Scott is hosting another of his popular courses on the River Dee during September. The course runs from the 18th to 20th September. There is also an option to fish on the Saturday - read more.

River Tay reported catches spread across the system from Dalmarnock down to Almondmouth. There were also fish caught from the rivers Garry, Tummel, Ericht and Isla. Many of the fish were sea liced, indicating that fish entering the system were running hard. Find Fishing.
River Don reports. Salmon continue to trickle into the system, although catches have slowed slightly on the middle and lower beats. The upper river is being fished on a more regular basis and some good catches are now coming off the beats up there, especially around Kildrummy. Find Fishing.
