The earlier June months are focussed on trout and grayling. Sockeye salmon start to run from the last week in June. During July, three other species of Pacific salmon will start running the river (Chinook, Chum, Pink). From early August these fish are joined by the fifth species - silver salmon or Coho - which steadily build through the month. From the last week in August until the end of September, there are strong numbers of Coho, whereas the other species' runs diminsh. Trout and grayling fishing remains excellent throughout.
