It has stunning views of the mountains and wildlife. The beat is available on a day or weekly rod basis. Exclusive use weekly/day lets are with a minimum of 10 rods (boat & ghillie) a party can reserve additional rods it they wish, paying on a pro rata basis.
Dalmarnock comprises of classic fly water with easy wading as well as lovely spinning & harling water with 15 named pools. The average catch over the past 4 years is over 100 fish making it one of the most prolific beats on the middle/upper Tay. It holds big fish and many fish up to 30lb have been taken in the past 4 years.
Please note that the standard Ghillie service is included in the day rod prices, whereby he will welcome you to the beat, show you the beat, pools and where to fish. A personal ghillie for the day with a boat is available for an additional cost. This can cover a single rod or a larger party. No more than 2 anglers can fish in the boat at any one time and if fly fishing from the boat, only one angler at any one time is recommended.
Salmon Fishing for beginners - the beat offer a bespoke package for people wishing to learn to fish, either spinning or fly fishing. All tackle and kit is provided all you have to do is turn up on the day with warm and waterproof clothing.
