The Ellisland beat is a quarter-mile stretch of single bank fishing approximately 6 miles north of Dumfries, with 4 named pools, Scaur; ScoutsFlat; Island Run and Ellisland. Please note that som eaccess to the river is via way of a very steep banking. If you have not fihed the beat before, why not visit the Ellisland Museum for the day and have a look at the river.
