Freeburn is a mile left bank on the river Findhorn near Tomatin.
The beat supports a maximum of 3 rods at any time and has several well established pools and a couple of good runs and over the years has seen some very nice fish caught, many into the 20's.
Freeburn has been very lightly fished for the past few years, with the full potential of the beat is yet to be fully realised.
The run of spring fish starts as soon as the water warms up after the winter, usually late April early May.
Mid June to the end of July sees the Grilse run and late August onwards the main Salmon run.
Being a spate river, the Freeburn beat, fishes best on a dropping river after a spate.
