The Suisgill Estate offers fishing for two rods on the famous Helmsdale river. There are six beats which work on a daily rotational basis, which facilitates the opportunity to fish the whole river. The package includes the services of a ghillie and self-catering accommodation in either Upper Suisgill Lodge (sleeps 12) or Balvallioch Cottage (sleeps 4). Recommendations for cooks are available upon request.
Both properties have stunning views across this magnificent unspoilt wilderness, the outer reaches of which is part of the Flow Country, which has just become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stalking is offered when in season and, when the conditions are right, there may be an opportunity for a day of walked-up grouse shooting.
The Estate has a licence to sell venison and it is recommended to order cuts in advance.
