1. There will be no spinning before 1pm when the height on the Fishtweed Sprouston gauge is 1ft 6” or lower; when the height is 1ft 7” or higher spinning can be used at any time, although precedence should always be given to any person on the other side fishing with a fly in the same pool.
2. The exclusive use of the Back of the Wall is marked by two crosses on the south bank; the exclusive use of the Learmouth Stream extends to a point approximately 30 yards above the point below the Learmouth hut.
3. The exclusive use of the Back of the Wall is marked by two crosses on the south bank; the exclusive use of the Learmouth Stream extends to a point aproximately 30 yards above the point below the Learmouth hut.
4. Spinning in low water before 1pm is not allowed, and can only be considered where an angler cannot fish with a fly by reason of genuine physical inability to handle a fly rod (very young, very old or infirmity). In such circumstances, it is the responsibility of the head boatmen to liaise with each other to ensure the other side is aware in advance of exceptional use of spinning, and where pools are shared, spinning should only happen after the other side has had a chance to fish the pool with a fly.
