1. All Anglers must report to Ewan MacLellan before fishing. They should meet at the Catnish parking area at 08.30 ready to start fishing at 09.00. Please call Ewan if you expect to be late
2. Fishing is from 9.00 am. until 5.00pm.
3. There are generally up to 6 rods available for let.
4. Dependant upon water conditions and rod numbers/requirements there may be a rotation arrangement imposed, alternating between the upper and lower beat on a half daily basis.
5. Pools are fished in rotation, starting at the top and gradually moving downstream. Do not enter a pool downstream of fellow anglers.
6. Sharing of rods is not encouraged other than at the discretion of the Ghillie.
7. All salmon/sea trout caught must be reported to the Ghillie, who will maintain fishing records. Should the Ghillie be absent, tenants are requested to leave a note of catches in the top fishing hut or by telephoning the Ghillie.
8. The Awe District River Improvement Association has undertaken a conservation initiative, and it is a condition of the let that you abide by the River’s catch and release code. All angler’s must have a net to land fish.
9. Any legal method is permitted (fly fishing, spinning and worm fishing), subject to the restrictions in place (see above). PLEASE NOTE: shrimp and prawn fishing are prohibited, as is the use natural minnow, a gaff, fixed rods and set lines.
10. No litter to be discarded. Please take it home with you.
11. Follow the Country Code, particularly in relation to dogs, risk of fire and gates.
12. Be considerate to fellow Anglers.
13. The tenant shall not be permitted to assign his tenancy or to sub-let except with the express permission of the proprietors or their agents.
14. The Ghillie’s word is final. The proprietors shall not be bound to refund any rents paid in the event of cancellation for whatever reason.

16. The proprietors will accept no liability whatever for damage, injury or loss to the persons or belongings of the tenant, or those in his party, from whatever cause arising, nor can they be held in any way responsible for adverse weather conditions or acts of God.
17. The tipping of the Ghillie is a traditional part of British etiquette and tenants are encouraged to do so. As a guide we would suggest a minimum of £10 per rod per day.
NOTE: Contravention of the above rules may result in future access being denied.
