Llandysul Angling Association controls around 30 miles of fishing along the River Teifi in West Wales - known as the Queen of Welsh Rivers. Beats start in the upper reaches in the Cellan area and end just above Newcastle Emlyn on the lower river, with the cream of the portfolio being along the middle reaches. The Teifi is fortunate to have salmon, sea trout (sewin), brown trout and grayling present - something on offer for everyone.
Amazing trout fishing can be found throughout LlAA waters. However, the cream of the portfolio on this front exists from Beats 2-9, which can be fished solely on a trout basis for just £10 per day (fly only and strictly C&R). The revered sea trout (sewin) fishing starts in earnest below these beats, with a myriad of famous holding pools scattered across the miles of fishing to be found within this section of the club's portfolio. The grayling population is sporadic at best, and can literally turn up on any beat downstream of Beat 4. The salmon population is not what it once was, but the occasional fish may still be encountered, especially given a decent spate. The salmon that are encountered tend to be large - seldom under 8 lbs.
