PLEASE NOTE : ANGLERS MUST REPORT THEIR CATCHES AT THE END OF EACH DAYS FISHING BY ENTERING DETAILS OF THE CATCH (INCLUDING NIL RETURNS) IN THE FISHING BOX BOOK AT THE END OF THE CASTLE DRIVE AND ALSO BY EMAIL. FAILURE TO REPORT CATCHES, MAY RESULT IN FUTURE LETS BEING REFUSED.

On Beat 1 there is forest road from Coldwell farm to the Rack. There is also a track to the toboggoning field.

On Beat 2 there are two forest roads from Haughton Mains Farm to the Mains Pool and to the Lower Mains Pool. At the Mains Pool – there is fenced hard standing parking.

HOW TO FISH HAUGHTON CASTLE (2 beats - change at lunchtime). Only 1 beat for two rods is let and the fishing for the let rods commences on each day as follows- Monday - beat 1 Tuesday - beat 2 Wednesday -beat 1 Thursday - beat 2 Friday - beat 1 Saturday - beat 2 Sunday- beat 1 All pools have white posts marking the top and bottom of the fishable stretches.

New rules 2021 for fishing “The Rack” (Pool 1) For the enjoyment of all fishermen, we have agreed the following for this highly fished pool NO SPINNING AT ANY TIME

• 1. Between 9am – 5pm rotation Haughton Fishermen can flyfish for two hour slots as follows:- i. Monday 11am – 1pm, 3pm – 5pm ii. Tuesday 9am – 11am, 1pm - 3pm iii. Wednesday 11am – 1pm, 3pm – 5pm iv. Thursday 9am – 11am, 1pm - 3pm v. Friday 11am – 1pm, 3pm – 5pm vi. Saturday 9am – 11am, 1pm - 3pm vii. Sunday 9am – 11am, 1pm - 3pm
• 2. Before 9am and after 5pm Either side can flyfish The Rack, but strict fishing etiquette must be observed
