Overview

The Peeblesshire Trout Fishing Association is proud to offer some excellent fishing for brown trout and grayling in the very heart of the Scottish Borders. For a modest cost, the Association permit allows fishing on approximately 23 miles of the River Tweed and 5 miles of the Lyne Water in Peeblesshire with the exception of private stretches which are clearly marked with notice boards.

The season extends from 1st January for grayling and from 1st April for both grayling and trout until 30th September. Fishing is by fly only and the Association operates a strict catch and release policy.

Within Peeblesshire, the River Tweed runs through some of the most scenic countryside in the south of Scotland but much of this is working farmland. Anglers are therefore asked to respect the Country Code, close all gates behind them and take their litter home.

No September fishing at Holylee and Elibank.

All Trout and Grayling anglers MUST give way to Salmon anglers.

Fishings: 23 miles of the River Tweed and 5 miles of the Lyne Water

Season: 1st April - 30th September

Price: Season Ticket £40
