The Junction and Hempseedford beat extends to some 1.5 miles of superb double bank fishing and boasts the famous Junction pool itself.
In addition to the Junction Pool there are ten other named pools - The Hawthorns, The Pot, The Flats, Bridge Pool, White Dyke, The Stream (Hempseedford), Gardenfoot, New Bridge, Rosebank and The Grain. There are also 350 yards of fishing on the Teviot, including Jacks Plumb pool.
There is a first class fishing hut situated on the north bank of the Teviot before its confluence with Tweed at the Junction Pool.
For the spring and autumn fishing, the services of three boatmen/ghillies are included in the rent and the beat accommodates between 4 and 6 rods depending on water levels.
Weeks rarely become available but summer lets in June and July are often possible. Please note that during the summer, tenants will be shown the water by a ghillie but the use of boats is unlikely during this period.
The owner is a keen supporter of the Tweed Angling Code and Spring Conservation Measures, and consequently would encourage all tenants to follow these guidelines.
