TO ALL VISITING RODS VIA FISHPAL,THERE SHALL BE NO SUB-LETTING OR GUIDING, TAKING PLACE, AT ANY TIME, TO ANY RODS ON THE TAYMOUNT BEATS
In the event of the tenant being unwilling or unable to fish the tenant is still liable for the full rent plus VAT (if applicable) and the agent reserves the right to recover all monies due, plus any further expenses incurred, from the original tenant. The proprietors shall not be bound to refund any rents paid in the event of cancellation for whatever reason.
A tenant may not sub-let the beat.
The agent and proprietors let the rights of fishing only, and do not accept responsibility for the natural hazard and adverse climatic conditions outwith their control affecting the catching of salmon.
The proprietors accept no responsibility for loss or damage to tenants or his party's property from whatever cause arising, nor for any injury to the tenant or any member of the fishing party. In the interests of safety no alcohol should be offered or given to the ghillies during the fishing period. Life jackets must be worn at all times, and these can be supplied by the ghillies. Tenants who do not wear life jackets do so entirely at their own risk. A charge of £30 will be made for replacement gas cylinders.
The lead named tenant is responsible for the fishing party at all times when fishing. Should the lead tenant not be present at any time a person must be nominated to take charge of the party.
Clients are strongly advised to take out a Public Liability Policy, covering themselves and their guests, for not less than £2,000,000 Clients and guests are advised to wear and use their own personal protective equipment where appropriate. This should include chest waders, wading stick, appropriate clothing and flotation equipment to marine standards. The insurance cover in the fishing huts does not extend to the property of tenants. If you wish to leave your belongings in the huts or rod-boxes it is at your own risk and you are advised to ensure that you have adequate insurance cover for sports and other items when travelling.
The rent includes the services of two ghillies and two boats, shared among 6 rods. The tenant is not permitted to hire or engage any additional guides, ghillies or boats other than those provided by the proprietor.
In the interests of safety the ghillie's decision on when it is not safe to take the boat out is final.
Should any other dispute arise between the tenant and the ghillie, the agent must be informed as soon as possible and certainly before the expiry of the let.
There is a mandatory catch and release policy in place whereby all fish must be returned up to 01 April, 2023. In addition the owners of Taymount require that in addition ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED UP TO 30 JUNE, 2023. No angler shall use a gaff or tailer. All landing nets must be knotless. WORMS MAY NOT BE USED ON TAYMOUNT FROM 15 JANUARY TO 30 JUNE AND FROM 01 SEPTEMBER TO 15 OCTOBER
The ghillies can store one rod per fisher overnight if required, entirely at the fishers risk.
