Pitnacree & Balnabeggan

From season 2023 the Pitnacree & Balnabeggan fishings on the Upper Tay is available for daily let.

The beat begins at the Iron Bridge between Grandtully and Strathtay, ending 1.7 miles downstream at the bottom of West Mains Island.

The beat is mostly both banks, and has 10 named pools suitable for fly fishing or spinning. The fishing can accommodate up to five rods in the most beautiful surroundings of Strathtay. Anglers of all abilities are welcome. There is a comfortable fishing hut available for guests to lunch or take a break. The fishing is generally between 9am and 5pm - fishing outside these times is at the discretion of the Ghillie. There is a boat on the beat that can be used in a variety of ways to enhance the angler's experience.
