Season so far

(Last Updated: Monday 16 January)

A season report will appear soon.

Prospects

Please make sure you look at the weather forecast prior to heading out. The river levels are up and down at present, and with the ground being saturated with snow and rain, take great care when fishing,  as some of the rivers can rise in levels much faster than you think.

Spring fly patterns with sink tips would be recommended.

Local expert David Traill will be able to assist in flies, lines, and general fishing assistance.

Prospects for coming week -

(Last updated: Wednesday 21st August)

Be patient and listen to your ghillie.

Traditionally salmon and grilse runs should increase throughout July and will peak in August.

Fresh fish will continue to enter the River Ness right up to the close of the season on 15th October.
